Alex received a B.S. in Biology from the University of Central Florida in 2015 and an M.Eng. in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University in 2016. After graduating, he completed an internship at Northeastern University, where he focused on CRISPR/Cas-9-mediated mutagenesis in C. elegans to study redox regulation in the insulin pathway and its effects on aging. Alex joined our lab in 2016 and is concentrating his efforts on elucidating the effects of specific genes on angiogenic responsiveness using zebrafish as a genetic model.
