Haojie joined the lab in 2017 after receiving a Ph.D. in Ophthalmology from Wenzhou Medical University in China, where he had also earned his M.D and Master’s degrees. He did his residency at Zhejiang Eye Hospital from 2012 to 2013. Haojie’s current research focuses on the laser-induced animal model of choroidal neovascularization for the study of age-related macular degeneration. He is also working on developing a new animal model of glaucoma and finding potential new therapies.
